Axolotl are really interesting critters— they are only native to a lake in Mexico that was drained, and the rest of their wild habitat is under threat by humans. They may or may not be functionally extinct in the wild, while at the same time, they are popular among people who keep exotic aquariums.
Axolotls are, in my mind, some of the friendliest looking amphibians. I like them because they are a reminder that we have a great impact on the world around us. Our care allows them to survive on, but our impact placed them under threat in the first place.
The back is made of stainless steel and the badge is hand-minted by me. Collect all my buttons and trade them with your friends!
